Stonecrest Financial has been a leading real estate investment company serving the California market since 1986. The company and its principals have successfully underwritten more than $800 million in residential and commercial mortgages since its inception.

Diversification within Stonecrest Financial has provided a great foundation for overall success in the ever-changing real estate and lending market. Stonecrest has four distinct entities complimenting each other to provide expertise and solutions to a variety of investors and borrowers.

Stonecrest Family of Companies

Stonecrest Financial, our Mortgage Broker team, has been serving clients for over 20 years by providing traditional mortgages through institutional lending.

Our Private Money division places an individual investor to a property secured by a single deed of trust. By arranging diverse real estate loans, funded by private investment clients, we provide a well-secured trust deed investment which generates high yields for our investors.

Stonecrest Property Managements our asset management division, which buys and sells properties in foreclosure or in probate sales. We either improve and sell or hold and manage these properties providing our other businesses with real estate buying and selling expertise.

Our newest division is Stonecrest Managers, which oversees the Private Capital Fund, LLC and the Stonecrest REO Investment Portfolio.

Key People

Jon O. Freeman

Jon O. Freeman earned his BA in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and is the principal owner and Chief Executive Officer of Stonecrest Financial.  He is an active real estate investor, purchasing and developing over one hundred (100) properties in the San Francisco Bay Area during the last fifteen years.  He is a licensed real estate broker and a member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Jeffrey B. Morway

Jeffrey B. Morway has spent 22 years in various leadership roles at Stonecrest and is currently the Vice President of Stonecrest Financial and an officer of Stonecrest Managers, Inc. Jeff attended the University of Arizona where he majored in Finance and Business Administration. He is a current member and previous Board member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers and National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Shafiq A. Taymuree

Shafiq A. Taymuree attended University of Cal State, Hayward, where he majored in Finance. He is the Sr. Underwriter and Sr. Loan Consultant at Stonecrest Financial, and one of the top producing loan agents in our office. He is a member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Joan P. Verduzco

Joan P. Verduzco has been with Stonecrest Financial since 1999 and is the Senior Operations Manager responsible for daily business operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and year-end financial statements.

Christina Gray

Christina Gray is Stonecrest's Investor Relations Manager for the Stonecrest Family of Funds. She has successfully grown her investor base for the fund by 50% month after month. Prior to Stonecrest Managers, she was a top sales producer in the telecommunications industry at ATT and Tricom.
